[job_card.job_description]Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment. Must have current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start. Completion of Ascension Specialty Exam prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years thereafter. Completion of Ascension Color Vision prior to start and updated every 3 years. Completion of Ascension Core Competencies within a year of start and updated yearly. Completion of Ascension EKG Exam prior to start. Completion of Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation. Completion of Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding. Completion of Ascension Nova StatStrip prior to clearance. Completion of Ascension Epic Test-Out prior to clearance. Documentation of required immunizations : MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, Positive PPD or IGRA with chest X-ray and TB questionnaire as applicable. Fit Test required and updated annually. Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment and updated annually. Driver's License / State ID must be valid and match home state for compact license. Completion of 2 Step PPD or IGRA testing prior to start. Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist annually for specialty. Completion of Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and updated annually. Verification of education relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start. Professional references and employment verifications as required. Completion of criminal background checks and EPLS within required timeframes. Contract length is 13 weeks.
