Job Summary : The Telemetry Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to adult patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and close clinical observation. This role involves performing detailed assessments, interpreting telemetry rhythms, managing ventilated patients when needed, and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient stabilization, recovery, and safe discharge planning. This is a 36-hour / week, day shift (7 : 00 AM 7 : 30 PM) position with every other weekend required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients requiring cardiac telemetry monitoring.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms accurately and respond to arrhythmias or clinical deterioration.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and document care accurately in EPIC (highly preferred).
- Manage ventilated patients as needed and collaborate with respiratory therapy.
- Support patients with a range of medical-surgical conditions in addition to telemetry needs.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and care coordination.
- Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, medications, and care plans.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety protocols.
- Communicate clearly with providers, interdisciplinary teams, and patients.
- Participate in the unit's 3 12 schedule, including every other weekend.
