Description : About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team for a critical data migration and system integration project. This role is essential to ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our data as it moves between core business systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a meticulous approach to testing, and the ability to effectively communicate technical findings to both business stakeholders and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Test Cycles : Design, execute, and complete test cases across multiple testing phases (e.g., unit, integration, user acceptance testing) specific to data migration and system functionality.
- Data Validation and Reconciliation : Perform extensive side-by-side data comparison and reconciliation between the legacy system and the new target system to verify data accuracy and completeness.
- Reporting and Auditing : Create detailed audit reports documenting the results of data validation, including variances and reconciliation summaries.
- Defect Management : Accurately log, track, and prioritize defects (bugs) in our defect tracking system.
- Team Collaboration : Act as the primary liaison between the QA team and the technical / development teams, facilitating effective communication to ensure timely defect resolution and retesting.
- Documentation : Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of QA processes, test plans, test case libraries, and data validation methodologies.
- Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to improve the testing process and tools to enhance efficiency and coverage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven Experience : Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance, Data Validation, or System Testing, preferably within data migration or financial / compliance projects.Strong Analytical Skills : Exceptional ability to compare large datasets, identify discrepancies, and trace data flow through multiple systems.Attention to Detail : Meticulous and unwavering focus on detail and accuracy is non-negotiable for success in this role.Defect Management Tools : Experience with standard defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and the full defect lifecycle management.Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills for creating clear documentation and effectively discussing defects and issues with technical teams.Documentation : Proven ability to create professional, detailed technical documentation (e.g., test plans, process guides).
Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets : Proficiency in data manipulation and reporting using advanced spreadsheet functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.) for audit report creation.
