Material Handler Level II
Join our team as a Material Handler Level II! In this role, you will play a crucial part in our operations by moving materials between departments and managing inventory effectively.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Unload, move, and store a variety of materials and products, performing Bin Maintenance as needed.
- Unload incoming materials, verify quantities and part numbers, report shortages or damages, and organize materials in storage areas.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials between departments according to routing instructions and orders.
- Fill orders from stock and deliver to designated areas efficiently.
- Operate hand trucks and powered lift trucks to move and stack materials safely.
- Load outgoing trucks using hand trucks or lift trucks as required.
- Accurately conduct inventory transactions within our business system.
- Perform cycle counts per request to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Utilize resources wisely to achieve job results effectively.
- Contribute to a collaborative environment by training others in material handling tasks.
- Inspect materials and work processes before passing along to the next operation.
- Document all actions by completing necessary production and quality forms.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) safely for unloading, picking, and storing materials.
Ideal candidates will have :
Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and other manual and powered moving equipment safely.Ability to read and interpret Bills of Material accurately.Intermediate computer skills for inventory management.A team-oriented mindset to effectively support manufacturing processes.Proof of prior forklift certification and demonstrated competence operating both sit-down and stand-up PITs.A valid driver’s license, with a high school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.3-5 years’ experience with powered lift equipment, such as forklifts.Physical Requirements :
This work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level.You may occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.Be prepared for continuous standing and walking, with frequent bending and lifting.Effective grip and manipulation skills are necessary for using various tools and equipment.What we offer :
The pay range for this position is typically between $20 - $23 per hour, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications.
