Position Overview
The Construction Project Manager Estimator (Heavy Civil) is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects within the heavy civil sector, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role includes estimating project costs, managing contracts, scheduling project timelines, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for heavy civil construction projects including highways, utilities, and water-wastewater facilities.
• Manage project budgets and financial forecasts to ensure project profitability.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and negotiate contracts.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Conduct site management and field supervision to ensure project adherence to designs and specifications.
• Perform risk assessments and implement risk management strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards on-site.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing project updates and addressing any concerns or changes.
• Manage quality control processes to ensure construction meets required standards and specifications.
• Utilize software tools like Bid2win for bid management and cost analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in heavy civil construction project management and estimation.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and contract management.
• Experience with risk assessment and quality control processes.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
• Familiarity with safety management practices in the construction industry.
• Proficient in cost analysis and financial management for construction projects.
• Experience with project management software, particularly Bid2win.
