Job Summary
As an Entry-Level Cook, you will play a vital role by setting up, preparing, and organizing your workstation. You will focus on basic food preparation tasks under the mentorship of experienced chefs. This is an excellent opportunity for those eager to learn and grow in a vibrant kitchen environment. You will contribute to maintaining cleanliness, ensuring food quality and presentation while supporting kitchen operations alongside Cook 2 and Cook 3 team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently set up, execute daily prep tasks, and organize your workstation.
- Prepare and store food items for your station, meeting Invited's quality standards.
- Consistently prepare and present daily specials, salads, entrees, and menu items according to chef specifications.
- Receive and appropriately store goods purchased by the kitchen.
- Manage condiments, dressings, salsas, and soups used by others.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including kitchen equipment and tools.
- Communicate special product needs or quality issues to the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
- Provide professional interaction with members and guests, accommodating changes and requests as needed.
- Support coworkers and foster a positive team atmosphere.
- Address and resolve guest complaints effectively, notifying management of issues when necessary.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by management.
Additional Duties
Assist others as needed, embracing the dynamic nature of the club.Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety practices.Show a commitment to excellence in professional interactions.Engage in personal and professional development, maintaining all necessary certifications.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Minimum of 3 years experience in a kitchen environment preferred.Valid Food Handler Certification as required by state and local regulations.Excellent communication skills and attention to detail in following instructions.Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand and perform physical activities for extended periods.Work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust or gases.Perform physical tasks such as climbing, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally.Sufficient talking and hearing ability with visual acuity.What We Offer
