Description : Schedule is 40 Hours - Monday - Thursday and 8 hours on Saturday or Sunday. Will Supervise 10 employees.

Summary : The Staff Supervisor is responsible for overseeing both the kitchen staff and the laundry operations to ensure the smooth and efficient running of all kitchen functions and laundry services. This includes managing kitchen staff, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and managing the laundry staff; ensuring the proper care and cleaning of linens, and cleaning and organizing rooms of individual served and common areas. The supervisor will ensure that both departments work in tandem to provide exceptional service, maintain cleanliness, and support operational efficiency. In addition, the Staff Supervisor will manage the housekeeping contract.

Kitchen Staff Supervision :

• Supervise Kitchen Staff :
• Manage daily operations of kitchen personnel, including line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, and other kitchen staff.
• Provide leadership and guidance to ensure staff meet performance standards
• Conduct daily briefings to set priorities and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
• Quality Control :
• Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and adherence to quality standards.
• Oversee portion sizes and plating for all dishes.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen throughout shifts.
• Training and Development :
• Train new kitchen staff on food preparation, safety procedures, and operational standards.
• Offer ongoing coaching and support to improve staff performance.
• Assist with cross-training staff for versatility across various kitchen roles.
• Food Safety & Sanitation :
• Enforce kitchen hygiene practices, including proper food handling, cleaning, and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including temperature control and food storage.
• Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas and equipment.
• Inventory Management :
• Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including food and cleaning supplies.
• Report equipment issues and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
• Help track food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients to minimize costs.

While performing the duties of this job, employee will comply with all federal, state and local laws pertaining to Easterseals Arkansas.

Employee has access to all client protected health information within his / her program. Employee will not attempt to access any other protected health information unless otherwise approved by Supervisor or Privacy Officer.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Supervises assigned staff in coordination with Assistant Director. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
