Physical Therapist Assistant

Overview

Covenant Home Health Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide exceptional care to senior residents within the West Valley and Central Phoenix Senior Living Communities. Prior home care experience is required.

Coverage area : Phoenix, West & Central Valley

Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and in accordance with the care plan.

Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and use of assistive devices.

Apply physical therapy modalities such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and massage.

Monitor and report patient responses and changes in condition.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Educate patients on proper use of mobility aids and equipment.

Participate in team meetings and in-service training.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Arizona.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous home health experience is required.
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the quality of life for senior patients.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout the West Valley and Central Phoenix areas.
