Job Description :

The Material Handler is response for the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of food production thought the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, sorting, stacking, and loading products while maintaining strict compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Load, unload, and move commodities with the warehouse or production area using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments
• Accurately pick, pack, and stage commodities for production processing or shipment
• Maintain organized and clean workspaces
• Operate equipment safely and report any malfunctions or safety issues
• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and food handling instructions
• Assist with other facility or production duties are assigned
• Requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Successfully manage daily operations and productivity of a dynamic temporary workforce.

Qualifications

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to energized electrical gear, moving mechanical parts, tools and vehicles. Also, the employee is occasionally exposed to low permissible levels of ionizing radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Constant work in temperatures averaging 41F is required.
