Sr. Analyst, Planner

Duration : 6-Month Contract
Pay Range : $40-45 / hr (W2)
Our client, a leading medical device company, is seeking a Sr. Analyst Planner to manage inventory planning, supplier relationships, and procurement activities for our medical device manufacturing operations. This role focuses on demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply chain coordination to ensure seamless production operations and product availability.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Management
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on production schedules, historical data, and market trends
- Manage just-in-time (JIT) inventory systems to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to prevent stockouts and excess inventory
- Analyze supply chain metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement
- Coordinate with production planning to align material availability with manufacturing schedules
Supplier Management & Procurement Coordination
Evaluate and monitor supplier performance based on quality, delivery, service, and costReview purchase requisitions and coordinate procurement activities with purchasing teamsCollaborate with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, quality concerns, and supply disruptionsSupport contract compliance monitoring and vendor relationship managementParticipate in supplier selection and qualification processesCross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to address material-related issuesCommunicate supply chain risks and mitigation strategies to stakeholdersSupport resolution of delivery delays, defective materials, and other supply chain challengesCoordinate with logistics teams to optimize inbound material flowParticipate in new product introduction (NPI) planning activitiesProcess Improvement & Reporting
Identify and implement supply chain process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologiesMaintain accurate records in ERP / MRP systemsGenerate reports on inventory status, supplier performance, and procurement activitiesSupport continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain functionRequired Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or related field5-7 years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or procurementExperience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environment strongly preferredTechnical Skills
Strong proficiency with ERP / MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and forecastingKnowledge of supply chain management principles and best practicesUnderstanding of inventory management methodologies (JIT, EOQ, safety stock calculations)Familiarity with demand planning and forecasting techniquesCore Competencies
