The Solutions Engineering team is looking for an additional SE leader to join our Tempe, AZ team. The SE manager is responsible for leading and developing high performing Select & Territory Solutions Engineering teams. The candidate should be a proven

technical leader

in a fast-paced environment whos highly motivated, entrepreneurial, with excellent follow-up and follow-through.

This position is located onsite in our Tempe office; not hybrid or remote.

Responsibilities

People Leader :

Hire, develop and lead inclusive, engaged, and high performing Select & Territory Solutions Engineering teams

Technical Leader :

Technical coach, mentor, and problem solver helping with technical escalations and navigating complex technical solutions

Builder :

Identify gaps, show initiative, and take ownership to build out programs and processes in support of the SE team

Connector :

work cross-functionally to drive improvements and increase communication and collaboration across departments e.g. sales, product, support, enablement, marketing, etc

Career Champion :

develop and grow the teams skillset through coaching, mentoring, and enablement

Travel Requirement : Up to 25%

Requirements

Demonstrated leadership success as a technical presales Manager for the last 3+ years within a similar company preferred

Experience working at a cloud and network infrastructure focused company with hardware / software exposure required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Networking, Information Technology, Information & Computer Technology, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT Security or similar from an accredited university

Proven track record in leading high performing sales engineering teams and working closely with sales teams and product teams

Experience building and scaling technical pre-sales teams

Based full-time onsite in our Tempe office

With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidates skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkadas total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and / or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
