The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time position of Research Assistant (RA) in the Center for OCD and Related Disorders, a clinical research program directed by Dr. Blair Simpson whose mission is to advance the understanding of and treatments for OCD and related disorders (e.g., anxiety disorders). The Center is in the New York State Psychiatric Institute, affiliated with Columbia University Irving Medical Center. This RA position will provide unique training experiences in patient-oriented research for those considering in the future applying to either medical or graduate school in psychology or neuroscience. The anticipated start date is May or June 2026.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The RA will be responsible for helping to run clinical research studies under the supervision of Dr. Simpson and her team. The job will expose one to a wide range of patient-oriented research, while also providing in-depth experience with participants with OCD and anxiety disorders.
