What We Do Accountabilities
- Assures effective development, implementation and continuous improvement of processes to assure :
- Cycle Counting process is done accurately and consistently.
- Issues are handled immediately.
- Assures Inventory Control reports are prepared accurately and timely, utilizing call to action.
- Assures inventory integrity is maintained through operational compliance.
- Assures efficiencies in system and operational inventory processes among all wholesale businesses.
- Ensure returns are handled and processed effectively and efficiently.
Essential Functions
Assures all cycle counting and reporting are accurate and timely.Ensure inventory control and returns team is utilizing best practices to account for inventory and handle returnsMaintains thorough knowledge of Inventory Control and Returns for all wholesale and retail businesses, the physical inventory process if necessary.Collaborates with operations management team to develop procedural recommendations intended to improve overall accuracy and efficient handling of all inventory.Develop, coach and motivate inventory control and returns team to consistently meet goals and keep update on new processesManages overall coordination of schedule for the inventory control and returns staff to best support the businessContinuously review inventory functions to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy of processes in a dynamic environment.Manage inventory shrink through monitoring of variance reporting, to ensure we are within the annual threshold requirements.Collaborate with appropriate NFI and Caleres partners to resolve open receiving issues.Weekly running, printing, working and distribution of reports, along with continued maintenance of inventory control reporting and spreadsheetsResolve compliance issues as needed, escalating when necessary.Investigate and filing of claims.Resolves inventory adjustment / shrink issues timely and accurately.Provides direction and accountability to all inventory control processes and ensures team adherence to company policy.Maintains high level of customer service with both internal and external customer.Unit executive leaders off site at other Distribution facilities and at the corporate office.Preferred Qualifications & Education
Associate of Science (AS) or related field experience preferred2-3 year of previous experience in Inventory Control distribution environment1-2 years of Customer Service or related experience preferredProficient in Microsoft Office required (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)Experience with SAP, PKMS systems preferredPhysical Requirements and / or Environment
