Job Title : Assistant Dean of Nursing

Location : Porterville, CA

Salary Range : $120,000 $140,000 per year

Employment Type : Full-Time / Direct Hire

An accredited educational institution is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Dean of Nursing to join its leadership team. The successful candidate will assist in overseeing all nursing program operations, including curriculum development, faculty supervision, and compliance with state and accreditation standards. This is a key leadership opportunity to support the growth and success of future nursing professionals.

Key Responsibilities :

Plan, evaluate, and ensure nursing program compliance with academic and regulatory requirements.

Oversee faculty, curriculum, clinical sites, and program budgeting.

Maintain program records, contribute to institutional committees, and assist with staffing and HR collaboration.

Evaluate and manage clinical site partnerships, placements, and performance assessments.

Teach courses, participate in curriculum development, and implement effective instructional strategies.

Lead student orientations, provide advising and mentoring, support at-risk students, and ensure adherence to graduation and licensing requirements.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; enrollment in or completion of a Master's program preferred.

Active, valid Registered Nursing License in the state of California.

Minimum one year of teaching experience in a nursing program.

Minimum one year of clinical experience as a registered nurse.

Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.

Proficiency with MS Teams, Zoom, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
