Warehouse Position

Hours : Monday - Thursday, 6 am - 4 : 30 pm. Base payrate is $23.05 / HR.

This position is responsible for all general warehouse functions including loading, receiving, put-away, stocking and selection of product and / or order packing when qualified and as needed. All functions with the exception of loading require specific equipment or process certification.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Loading :

• Appropriately handle product to minimize damage during the loading process.
• Communicate any damage found or caused during the loading process to appropriate personnel.
• Inspect trailer cleanliness prior to loading.
• Ensure all packages meet warehouse standards before loading (no visible damage, boxes securely closed, address labels affixed and readable, etc.).
• Responsible for the neatness and cleanliness of the dock areas.

Education And Experience

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred, or one year warehouse related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Must have ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must have ability to read and write simple correspondence, and to speak effectively in one-on-one and in small group situations.

Mathematical Skills

Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability

Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must have ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Certification on material handling equipment is required, or the ability to become certified.
