SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops an engineering scope of work, recommends equipment selections, and other pre-construction activities.
• Mechanical designs for central chiller plants, package units, split systems, air handling units, variable refrigerant volume units and other mechanical systems
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Prepares preliminary design layouts for estimating.
• Responsible for the quality of work produced by third party engineering consultants.
• Participates in conceptual design for specific projects.
• Performs site inspections to verify equipment selection.
• Performs calculations for a project, such as heating / cooling loads, equipment selection and sizing, pipe and duct sizing, friction loss calculations, etc.
• Works with our team of Project Managers throughout project design and construction
• Perform Heating, Cooling Load Calculations and Title 24 Compliance calculations.
• Prepares and delivers client presentations.
• Help to develop, write, and review client proposal documents including financial and technical sections.
• Interacting in a professional manner with other departments
• Demonstrate a personal commitment to your growth and development.
• Other duties and special projects as directed.
