ROLE of the POSITION
The Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track teaching faculty member (Assistant Professor in Residence) to begin Fall, 2026. A primary responsibility for this position is the development and instruction of undergraduate courses in forensic psychology. This position also involves teaching foundational and upper-division courses, including capstone. Career advancement is available with evidence of continued professional development and service contributions. PROFILE of the DEPARTMENT PSYCHOLOGY
The Department has 40 full-time faculty members, a B.A. program in psychology, a B.S. program in neuroscience, an APA-accredited Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology, a Ph.D. program in Psychological and Brain Sciences with cognitive, developmental, and quantitative/social/community areas of study, and is affiliated with a campus-wide interdisciplinary Neuroscience Ph.D. program. A B.S. program in Children’s Behavioral Health Psychology is also in development.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Ph.D. in Psychology or related discipline from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and a commitment to undergraduate education, substantial teaching experience (including online teaching), and a willingness to work with a program coordinator for purposes of assessment and quality control. ABD candidates will be considered.
Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
