Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine (ABMS or AOA). Current and unrestricted medical license or the ability to obtain one in North Carolina. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong alignment with integrated, team-based care models. Proficiency with basic computer systems and EMR platforms (Athena experience preferred). Active and unrestricted DEA license. Medicare provider number. 3-7 years of clinical experience preferred.
We are currently seeking a board-certified (or board-eligible) Internal Medicine Physician to join our team and help shape the future of healthcare in our community.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage a patient panel of 18-22 patients per day (after an initial ramp-up period).
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based primary care in an outpatient setting.
- Independently diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications and therapies to treat illness and prevent disease.
- Communicate clearly with patients and their families about care plans, test results, and treatment options.
- Provide preventative health education and wellness advice related to nutrition, physical activity, hygiene, and lifestyle.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive patient records in the EMR system (Athena).
- Refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary.
- Support and manage patients with long-term care needs.
- Collaborate with the broader care team to ensure integrated, team-based care.
