Summary
Little Wonders is inviting individuals that share our love of play and learning to join our team as Early Childhood Teachers. Teachers are responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team. coordinating the curriculum and managing the day-to-day operational activities or our indoor and outdoor classrooms. Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants and resolve parental concerns.

Duties
- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
- Lead by example, encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
- Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, parent teacher conferences and approved parental communication platforms
- Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
- Ensure a clean, healthy and safe classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children
- Supervise teacher assistants and students to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records, forms and files
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experienceMinimum CDA (Child Development Associate's) or betterStrong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skillsHigh energy and an ability to work well with others (staff, children and parents) and to foster a team environmentA strong understanding of child developmentExcellent leadership, organizational and interpersonal skillsMust clear full background check and must pass health screeningPhysical requirements include ability to walk indoors and outdoors, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tool or controls, talk and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl, lift and perform basic indoor and outdoor housekeeping tasksNice To Haves
Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years preferredAssociates or Bachelor's degree in the area of ECE or a minimum of 30 hours of ECE creditAppreciation and respect for nature and the environmentAvailability for opening or closing shiftBenefits

Little Wonders Childcare Learning Center is a Grow NJ Kids rated center located in scenic Warren County, New Jersey. Our certified and experienced teachers provide a quality childcare program for students ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Following a state approved curriculum that is aligned with both New Jersey Birth to Three Early Leaning Standards and The New Jersey Department of Education's Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards, our staff provides students with opportunities to grow and explore across multiple domains of learning and development.
