Performs EMG nerve conduction testing studies and EEG studies (brain wave studies)

Will work with a wide range of patient population from Neonate (newborns) up to nursing home patients.

Neurodiagnostic Technologist are an integral part of the team of medical practitioners providing care to our patients. We're seeking a compassionate, patient, and problem-solving Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our talent team in this highly impactful role. What you will do:

May perform intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction, and/or electroencephalography (EEG) testing for all patient populations.

Understanding the testing equipment, including its structure, indications for use, physiological effect upon the patient, and basic maintenance procedures.

Posses working knowledge of the disease and pathological conditions encountered.

Qualifications

High school diploma or its equivalent is required. Graduated from an approved program of Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (ENDT) or similar education is preferred. Completion of department approved training program is required.

Working knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, basic electronics and electrical safety, general knowledge of electroencephalography (EEG) and evoked potentials (EP) instrumentation, pattern recognition, and various medical and pharmacological conditions is preferred. Experience in area of specialty or applicable health care experience is preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.
