IT Project Manager

TEKsystems is partnering with a local organization seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead a high-impact enterprise technology initiatives. This role focuses on managing complex IT projects from initiation through delivery, including but not limited to oversight of vendor selection and cross-functional collaboration. The primary emphasis is on strong project leadership, stakeholder engagement, and successful execution of enterprise-level IT initiatives. ERP experience is a plus.

• Key Responsibilities :
• Lead the full lifecycle of enterprise IT projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and post-implementation support.
• Collaborate with internal teams (IT, Finance, HR, Operations) and external vendors to ensure project alignment and delivery.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including stakeholder identification, deliverables, goals, milestones, budgets, communication strategies, and risk mitigation plans.
• Facilitate vendor selection processes, including RFP development, proposal evaluation, and contract support.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring minimal disruption and timely resolution.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and deliver executive-level updates and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Design and implement change management strategies to foster open communication and drive successful adoption.
• Define project requirements and oversee lifecycle deployment, coordinating resources, establishing governance structures, and executing communication plans.
• Articulate and understand the technical aspects and context of proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Facilitate scope prioritization discussions, ensuring stakeholders understand changes and their impact on project outcomes.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and deliver executive-level updates and reporting.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to align solutions with business needs while ensuring robust security and compliance.
• Lead steering committee meetings to oversee project portfolio priorities, scope, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, compliance requirements, and industry trends that may impact project execution or strategy.
• Qualifications :
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing large-scale IT projects across diverse business functions.
• Proven success in leading vendor selection and RFP processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or Jira.
• ERP implementation experience is a plus but not required.
• Must be located in Hawai'i.
• FIRST 90 days FULLY ON SITE - after 90 days Hybrid work schedule : 3 days on-site per week required.

• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $62.00 / hr.
