Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY : The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) conducts functional behavior assessments in order to develop and train staff to implement within the designated program and assesses the effectiveness of the behavior intervention(s).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The BCBA Performs appropriate behavioral assessments and evaluationProvides supervision of assigned staff in the areas including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, performance management, promotion, discipline and terminationConducts observations and collects data in the residential / day program setting for assigned behavior referralDevelops, approves, and assesses behavior plans to address problem behavior in the residential / day programProvides ongoing consultation services and training to direct care professionals, program supervisors, and program coordinators on behavior support and techniquesProvides a monthly written evaluation on the effectiveness of behavior treatment planServes on the Behavior Management CommitteeAssists staff in Safe Crisis Management and De-escalationProvides staff training related to crisis management and de-escalation, positive behavior supports, therapeutic interactions, and individual-specific behavior plans and protocolsMaintains current state-mandated training and certificationsFollows all current policies and procedures of Elwyn New JerseyCooperates with Elwyn New Jersey and the State of New Jersey Department of Human Services, or any other authorized investigating body during an inspection or investigationWorks with, understands, and complies with terms and conditions of collective bargaining agreements (CBA) within a unionized environment with tasks including but not limited to adherence to scheduling procedures, processing transfers and promotions, administering disciplinary actions, adjudicating grievances, where appropriate, etc.Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), crisis intervention and medication administration using agency-trained protocolsAssumes rotational management on call as scheduledPerforms other duties as assignedEDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIREMENTS :
Master's degree in psychology or related field from accredited college or universityCertified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)One (1) year experience in providing behavior support services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autismPrevious experience working within and managing a unionized workforce preferred(Experience using / knowledge of ) Electronic Health Record (EHR) / Electronic Medical Record (EMR)Must possess a current, valid driver's license in state of residence, have a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience within the United States, and have an acceptable driving recordELV 2062 2025-1890
