LHH Is hiring for a Senior Tax Accountant
Location : Annapolis, Maryland, United States (On-site)
We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team in Annapolis. This role involves preparing and reviewing tax returns for a diverse client base, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals. You will also review the work of others, provide tax planning and consulting services, and lead a small team.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
- Ensure timely and accurate filings while staying current on tax laws and regulations
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and advise clients on tax-efficient strategies
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to minimize liabilities
- Mentor and supervise three direct reports, reviewing their work and providing feedback
- Conduct research on tax laws and rulings to support client needs
- Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients and team members

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)CPA license or Becker CPA program tuition reimbursement availableMinimum 2 years of tax experience in public accountingStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax lawsExperience with tax preparation software (UltraTax, CCH Engagement, Thomson Reuters)Benefits :

Refer a new professional staff member to the firm and receive a $5,000 bonus. Refer a new paraprofessional staff member and receive a $2,000. Refer a new administration staff member to the firm and receive a $1,000 bonus. The bonus will be paid to the referring staff member quarterly over the first year of employment of the new staff member. Your commitment and contribution to the firm are the primary factors affecting additional bonuses in which you may participate. Bonuses do not necessarily coincide with your annual or semi-annual performance review. Discretionary bonuses may be given at any time during the year.Continuing Professional Education (CPE) - Our firm requires that all the Certified Public Accountants obtain 40 hours annually of CPE. Accordingly, we will pay for 40 hours of CPE in courses approved by the firm.Personal Leave - All Full-time employees are eligible for (3) weeks Personal Leave per year in their first through fifth year of employment, and four (4) weeks per year thereafter. Pay Details : $95,000.00 to $115,000.00 per year
