Job Summary :
The Migrant Graduation Liaison will act as an advisor and facilitator for migrant students in order to help them complete high school and pursue post-secondary opportunities. The Specialist will work with a caseload of migrant students and will conduct building-wide activities for all migrant students as the need arises. All Specialist services will focus on the unique and supplemental needs of migrant students and will not supplant those activities conducted by other building staff such as counselors, home visitors, and teachers.

Work Environment :
The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is not confined to a work area; he / she must be able to perform home visits, drive to other locations as (Boys and Girls Club, Youth Center, Service Center, etc.) as needed; required to have precise control of fingers and hand movements; experiences constant interruptions and inflexible deadlines; must be able to work at a computer monitor for prolonged periods; and must be able to crouch, crawl, bend, kneel, and lift / move objects such as files, boxes, etc. The employee is required to deal with distraught and / or angry persons and is exposed to infectious diseases carried by children. The noise level in the work environment is acceptable to this particular environment and can vary depending upon daily activity but will remain within acceptable ranges.
