[job_card.job_description]Medical Degree (MD or DO) Completion of a Psychiatry Residency and Child & Adolescent Fellowship Board Certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Valid NY State Medical License and DEA registration CPR / BLS certification (AHA-approved) Familiarity with trauma-informed care and child development Background clearance and drug screening required Evaluate and treat youth with emotional, developmental, and psychiatric needs Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with care teams Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications Document treatment and progress using EMR systems Provide consultation to staff and participate in multidisciplinary care planning Participate in family engagement and therapeutic strategy discussions
Adelphi is seeking Board-Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists to provide psychiatric evaluations and care to youth populations in New York State. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with children and adolescents with serious emotional and behavioral challenges in a structured or residential setting.
