The Marketing Data Science and Business Intelligence (MDSBI) organization partners with Marketing and collaborates across the SMB, Job Seeker, Brand, Enterprise, and Global Marketing teams. Indeed is the world's largest marketplace for jobs, and we have a unique dataset of jobs, resumes, applications, and outcomes. The Data Scientist I role partners closely with business partners across various functions to help execute strategic initiatives that increase revenue, drive operational scale, and improve efficiency for continuous growth. As a Data Scientist, you will prepare datasets, train and optimize models, and maintain and improve model inference services. You will learn and apply new techniques from open source packages and research publications, and creatively adapt models for solving business problems across Indeed.

Responsibilities

Build and improve all components of our Marketing Measurement Framework including Marketing Mix models, Multi-Touch Attribution, and Incrementality Testing

Mentor and grow other data scientists, data engineers, and Machine Learning Engineers across teams.

Communicate how campaigns, campaign measurement, and business outcomes can be transformed with Machine Learning (ML) and AI across the broad organization.

Partner with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions that enhance user and marketer experiences.

Foster external partnerships, stay updated with industry trends, and ensure our data practices remain at the forefront of technological advancements.

Skills / Competencies

Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Prior success in deploying impactful Machine Learning solutions to large-scale production systems, while collaborating across teams and using LLMs.

A deep understanding of machine learning, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.

Deep understanding of the complexities and tradeoffs of leveraging / deploying ML / AI at scale.

Proven ability to translate complex data findings into actionable business strategies and experience in collaborating with marketing or product teams to drive business growth.

Experience communicating and influencing marketing, technical, and business direction across all levels of a large organization.

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeeds total compensation package for employees.
