JOB DESCRIPTION
As Manager of Application Modernization and Cloud Integration you are responsible for strategic planning, design, and maintaining the enterprise software applications through best practices and the appropriate staffing and management of a technical team. This position requires a deep understanding of retail distribution with some experience in manufacturing and financial services. You will work cross-functionally with various stakeholders, subject matter experts and developers to define scope and requirements to enhance existing functionality and implement new technology solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Ensure enterprise systems meet business requirements and goals, fulfill user requirements, and identify and resolve any systems issues.
- Collaborate with functional leaders, decision makers, distributors, stakeholders, systems owners, and end-users to define business, financial and operational requirements.
- Review and analyze existing business processes and application systems to drive process improvement.
- Create systems models, specifications, business requirements and workflow diagrams to provide consensus for direction.
- Manage the prioritization and change log for execution of approved modifications.
- Provide thought leadership to address technical areas of opportunity in the business unit they support as well as the entire enterprise focusing on the best solution.
- Provide a general functional knowledge, advanced systems design knowledge, and project leadership for application systems projects.
- Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Manages and supervises assigned teams to achieve goals within available resources; plans and organizes workloads and staff assignments; trains, motivates and evaluates assigned staff; reviews progress and directs changes as needed.
- Manage the delivery of multiple projects through full product development lifecycle via traditional and Agile delivery methodology.
- Review and analyze testing of application system after modifications or updates. Coordinate in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and post implementation support.
- Communicates release schedules, coordinates deployment, and change management plans.
- Coordinates with management staff, support staff, technical personnel, or suppliers to resolve issues.
- Revises operations schedules to introduce new program testing and operating runs.
- Coordinate and participate in SOX activities for in-scope business applications including quarterly / annual testing, performs proactive gap analysis, ensures action plans are in place for all observations / deficiencies, holds all team members accountable, and ensures their commitment to implementing improvements based upon agreed-to timelines.
WHO YOU ARE (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Technology, Computer Science or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.10+ years of experience in standard and custom software development and out of the box system configuration and system implementation.Experience with .Net, Angular, and similar web development tools and technologies.Experience with SQL databases, system integrations and modern programming languages.Ability to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and information management across the IT organization.Experience with API and cloud-based integration patterns.Knowledge of IT audit and industry compliance processes - SOX, PCI.Strong project management skills.Extensive hands-on solution and implementation through to production support and / or retirement.Experience with retail applications, payment technologies, and other omni-channels tools.Vontier partners with you and your family on your health and wellness journey.
