Senior Payroll Analyst (Contract - 8 Months, Hybrid)

Location : Seattle, WA (Hybrid Schedule)

Compensation : $45.00 - $55.00 per hour , depending on experience

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Payroll Analyst to join our client's payroll team on an 8-month contract . This hybrid role is ideal for a payroll professional who brings deep technical payroll knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and support complex payroll processing for multi-state and / or high-volume employee populations
• Review, audit, and analyze payroll data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
• Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll regulations, tax compliance, and best practices
• Reconcile payroll accounts and support payroll-related general ledger activities
• Analyze payroll variances, labor costs, and reporting discrepancies
• Manage payroll audits, including internal, external, and regulatory audits
• Support payroll system enhancements, implementations, and process improvements
• Partner with HR, Benefits, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate employee and payroll data
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior payroll staff as needed
