PET Technologist

Description

This role plays a key part in delivering highquality PET, PET/CT, and CT diagnostic services while ensuring an exceptional patient experience and maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize radiopharmaceuticals as well as oral and IV contrast agents to perform a variety of diagnostic PET, PET/CT, and CT examinations.
• Operate a multislice CT scanner and power injector with proficiency and attention to detail.
• Start IVs and administer various contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals at the direction of the physician.
• Provide patient care services as needed in a professional, compassionate manner.
• Participate in all daily duties necessary to perform highquality care and imaging exams.
• Deliver exemplary customer service in all patient and team interactions.
• Engage fully in a collaborative team framework while maintaining a positive approach and attitude.
• Assume responsibility for designated duties or procedures as required and adhere to all safety standards in accordance with SMC policies and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Washington Radiologic Technologist upon hire
• Upon Hire:
• National Positron Emission Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board --or--
• National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology --or--
• National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board --or--
• National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography --or--
• National Computed Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Additional CT training
• 1 year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Previous CT experience
