Maintenance Technician Apprentice

About the Role :

Join us as a Maintenance Technician Apprentice and gain valuable hands-on experience maintaining a variety of buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This role is vital within the Engineering and Technical Services team, where you'll provide support, conduct preventive maintenance, and assist with repairs on critical equipment and systems.

What You'll Do :

Receive mentorship from experienced engineers on job safety and effective repair techniques.

Observe maintenance practices while engineers perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.

Assist in the installation and upgrading of building equipment and systems.

Collaborate with management to ensure energy efficiency in all systems.

Inspect installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Follow procedures for consistent delivery of repetitive tasks or job activities.

Execute methods and duties that are well-defined, following instructions with precision.

What You'll Need :

To succeed in this role, you must be able to perform crucial duties satisfactorily, including the following :

A High School Diploma, GED, or current enrollment in a college program or technical school.

Meet the physical demands, including standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and lifting / carrying loads of 50 lbs or more.

Ability to develop essential skills for foundational tasks.

Effective communication skills.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications like Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Strong organizational skills complemented by curiosity and an eagerness to learn.
