Responsibilities The Heritage Oaks Patient Enrichment Center , more commonly known as the ‘HOPE Center,’ is a newly constructed, state of the art, -bed, Psychiatric Health Facility, serving the acute psychiatric needs of the community in concert with the Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services.

The HOPE Center is looking to add a part-time LVN to the team! The LVN administers nursing care to designated patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties as necessary.
- Assists in the delivery of patient care in an acute psychiatric setting for patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
- Assists the RN in assessing for pain, utilizes pain scale and documents, accordingly, assessing the patient’s response to interventions: Communicates these findings to staff.
- Informs Charge/Staff Nurse informed of events that may change staffing needs such as: admissions, discharges, transfers, and patient in crisis. As well as informing staff of patients with potential risk of injury due to falls or self-destructive or assaultive behavior; implements fall [precautions, and potential risk to others.
Schedule: Per Diem, Weekday Availability
Qualifications Education: High School Diploma/GED and Graduate from an accredited Vocational School of Nursing program required.
Experience: 0-1 year related work experience required. Clinical experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
Licensure: Licensed Vocational Nurse with the State of California Board of Vocational Nursing required.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care (HWC) training (provided in-house), including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, within days of employment, and prior to assisting in a restraining process.
