Senior Tax Accountant - Public Accounting | Akron, OH

They're now seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join their close-knit, collaborative team. If you're feeling overworked, under-recognized, or just ready for something more stable and rewarding, this could be the right move.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
  • Work directly with business owners, CFOs, and CEOs across industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, professional services, restaurants, dental practices, and nonprofits
  • Offer proactive tax planning and advisory insights-not just compliance work
  • Manage multiple projects with the support of a reliable, experienced team
  • Collaborate with leadership that values your ideas and invests in your professional growth

What They're Looking For

  • 3+ years of recent public accounting experience
  • Ability to prepare and review returns independently from start to finish
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
  • CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
  • Familiarity with tax software (UltraTax, CCH, Lacerte, or similar)
