This position is for structural engineering of future submarines. Technical work of complex applications with the ability to recommend technical direction for work assignments. Work lightly monitored by senior engineers / management for accuracy and completeness. More complex analysis and tool usage demonstration for work to be performed. Candidate’s skill set shall include the ability to create and present presentations to customers with minor guidance and self-preparation. For white papers and reports, candidate will be either a contributor, author or lead, depending on task size. If lead of a task, primary responsibility will be technical oversite of a small team with little written contribution. Appropriate level of technical acumen to verify other engineer’s work. Author formalized calculation packages documenting work performed in a conclusive and succinct manner. Leadership skill development guiding technical work of junior engineers. Finite element analysis software usage includes Femap / NASTRAN and / or Abaqus.
