• Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• Cardiac Stent Placement
• Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult
• IABP Placement / Removal
• Impella insertion
• Left heart catheterization
• Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
• Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
• Right heart catheterization
• Rotablader athrectomy
• Temporary Pacemaker
• Ventricular Assist Device Insertion

Description :

Candidates from other facilities are eligible for a travel contract if separated for at least 3 months.

All facilities honor active compact licenses.

Unit does not accept first-time travelers.

Call is required, typically 6 evenings and one weekend per 6 weeks.

Weekend shifts typically include one weekend every 6 weeks on standby with a 30-minute response time.

Medication System used is Pyxis.

Documentation system employed is EPIC and McKesson.

Communication follows the SBAR format.

Unit has 3 cath labs and one hybrid OR.

Staffing ratios include 20 patients during the day.

The patient population includes adults and geriatrics.

Daily census in the unit is approximately 17 patients.

Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.

Isolation precautions are required and the use of rapid response teams is preferred.

Required skills include accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, and maintaining a sterile field.

Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias is essential.

Experience with vascular closure systems and fluoroscopy is required.

The preferred experience includes optical coherence tomography, pulmonary artery line insertion, and Transcatheter Aortic Valve procedures.

Candidates must have reliable transportation.

Pre-approved time off includes two days.

Candidates must secure housing prior to acceptance and be aware of local living costs.

All sensitive onboarding items must be completed promptly.
