Global Insurance company is looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join the team in Jersey City, New Jersey. This position requires expertise in financial reporting, intercompany transactions, and consolidations. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment. Responsibilities :

• Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
• Handle intercompany transactions and consolidations, maintaining proper documentation and workflows.
• Perform month-end close processes, including journal entries and adjustments.
• Reconcile accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and address financial reporting needs.
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and industry regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of external reporting requirements and disclosures.
• Monitor and enhance controls related to accounting processes and systems.
• Proven experience in accounting, preferably within the insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and consolidations.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Public Accounting experience preferred.
• Advanced skills in analyzing and interpreting financial data.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a hybrid work setting.
• CPA certification or relevant public / private accounting experience is a plus.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all accounting tasks.
