The St. Francis Center (SFC) is a multi-departmental organization established in June 1983 as a refuge for individuals experiencing homelessness in the metro Denver area. Our programs include a drop-in day center, employment services, street outreach, and permanent supportive housing with social services offered within each department. Across SFC programs, our neighbors have the opportunity to work with a variety of specialists, depending on their individual needs, to empower them to reach self-identified goals and ultimately self-sufficiency.

We are currentlyseeking a Front Desk Associate at our St. Francis Apartments West, a part of our Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) department. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. There are two positions available, a full-time 40 hour Tuesday-Saturday (3pm-11pm) and a 32 hour full-time position Friday-Monday. St. Francis Apartments West is one of multiple SFC PSH properties that serve as a solution for individuals transitioning out of homelessness, enabling them to work towards meaningful self-determination after becoming housed.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Front Desk Associate will provide an accessible physical presence to assist residents and volunteers, enforce the community guidelines, and support the property manager in her efforts to ensure the property complies with all legal requirements. This position will collaborate with the property management team and the supportive services team to create a welcoming, trauma-informed care environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

• Provide a courteous, physical presence at the front desk at St. Francis Apartment West in a manner that builds trust in the community.
• Monitor visitors to the building including but not limited to requesting ID from visitors, manage visitor log; oversees residents pick up and escort their visitors in and out of the building
• Ensure residents follow all rules and escalating any lease violations to the Property Manager or Site Director.
• Respond to residents questions or concerns or elevating those questions or concerns to the Property Manager and / or Case Manager(s) when needed.
• Answer the property telephone and forwarding calls / information to either the Property Manager or Case Managers as appropriate.
• Conduct hourly rounds of the property to ensure that the building is secure including monitoring security cameras at the front desk.
• Complete an inspection checklist to ensure the property is safe, clean and well maintained during each shift.
• Keep Communications Log current, informative and professional. Complete incident and other reports as needed.
• Respond to fire alarms and other emergencies. Responsible for calling first responders or Property Manager / On-call Maintenance to ensure urgent situations are handled and reported appropriately.
• Assist with volunteer coordination and community-building activities.
• Attend staff meetings and meeting with supervisors as requested.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

$21-23 / Hour

This is a Full-Time non-exempt position. The schedule for this position is a 16 hours per week.

The position is eligible for the pension plan (5% plus a dollar-for-dollar match of contributions up to 4% of earnings) and employer-paid PTO / sick leave.
