Key Responsibilities :
- Effectively implement physician orders, administer medications, initiate IVs, perform various treatments, procedures, and assessments, while documenting in accordance with company policy and all relevant regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to thoroughly assess patient conditions.
- Regularly assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to the care provided.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
- Offer primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as directed.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding the highest standards of professional nursing.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate of a recognized nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree).Must possess a current NYS Registered Nurse license.Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential.Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and problem-solving techniques is preferred.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center!
