Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
National Provider PALS - American Heart Association upon hire.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course within 90 days of hire.
1 year Nursing experience. Preferably ER
An Emergency Room Nurse, or ER Nurse, is a highly skilled and trained medical professional who plays a vital role in the emergency department of a hospital. They are responsible for providing immediate and efficient care to patients who are experiencing life-threatening injuries or illnesses. ER Nurses must have a strong knowledge base in emergency medicine, critical care, and trauma care in order to provide the best possible care to patients in emergency situations. ER Nurses work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, and must be able to quickly assess and stabilize patients, and then decide on the best course of treatment. They must be able to work independently and make quick, accurate decisions in order to save lives. They must be able to remain calm under pressure, and be able to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team. ER Nurses must also be able to work well as part of a team, as they often work in conjunction with physicians, other nurses, and other healthcare professionals. They must be able to communicate effectively and work together to provide the best possible care to patients. ER Nurses must also be able to provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times. They must be compassionate and empathetic, while also being able to maintain professional boundaries. Overall, ER Nurses are essential members of the healthcare team and play a vital role in saving lives and improving the health of the community.
