Job Description

Peterson Cat has the immediate need for an experienced Finance Loan Document Specialist based at either our San Leandro, CA or Hillsboro, OR location.

The Finance Loan Document Specialist assists and consults Sales personnel in the preparation of all finance plan quotations, credit submissions, and other finance documents. This role monitors and maintains the funding log, tracking financing documentation from quotation through funding. Additional responsibilities include interfacing with Caterpillar Financial Services, handling customer account setups, managing UCC filings, and assisting the Credit Manager with reporting.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Directly assist and consult Sales personnel in the preparation of all finance plan quotations, credit submissions, and other finance documents.
• Coordinate the credit approval process for sales transactions with various financial funding sources, track the execution of financing documentation through to funding, verify receipt of funds, and collect final electronic documents (E-docs).
• Monitor and clear funding logs, ensuring they are kept current.
• Interface with Caterpillar Financial Services and local Caterpillar Financial Services Territory Manager via their preferred portal, negotiating options for final contract approvals when needed.
• Work directly with Credit Manager to produce, analyze, and distribute reports pertaining to outstanding transactions, Receivables, Cash on Delivery (COD), Accounts, New Sales, Conversions, and other data as directed.
• Respond to common inquires or complaints related to finance documentation from customers, coworkers, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Be the primary contact for all new customer account setups utilizing our customer relationship management (CRM) platform.
• Manage and maintain Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings, releases, and orders.
• Act as backup for Credit department tasks including but not limited to answering phone line and mailroom tasks as needed.
• Maintain regular, punctual, and predictable attendance.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree from a fully accredited college in Business or other closely related field; and a minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience working with credit and / or finance documentation; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

The CALIFORNIA hourly pay range for this position is : $34.76 - 40.85 (Starting wage will depend on experience and education. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.)
