Surgical Services - OR Tech / Surgical Tech

The department has 3 shifts : 0700-1530, 0930-1800, & 1500-2330. This position will primarily cover the 0700 or 0930 shifts. The shift schedule is released in 4-week increments, so there will always be advanced notice of start times. EDUCATION Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. Bachelor's : Graduate of an accredited surgical technologists program or extensive experience as a surgical technologist, such as is usually obtained in approximately 10 years. CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE CST-Certified Surgical Technologist BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN : Acute care experience preferred. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Must have demonstrated knowledge of effective English written and communication add basic computer proficiency skills. Requires critical thinking skill, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a ever-changing environment and respond appropriately to complex situations.
