Position Summary :
The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for leading tax compliance, planning, and consulting engagements for our clients. This leadership role will manage a team of tax professionals, ensuring high-quality service delivery while fostering staff development and maintaining client relationships. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for client service.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and non-profit organizations
- Provide strategic tax planning and consulting services to clients
- Oversee, mentor, and develop tax staff and seniors, providing technical guidance and performance feedback
- Maintain and develop client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for tax matters
- Conduct tax research and stay current on changes in tax law, communicating implications to clients and internal teams
- Coordinate and manage engagement teams to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
- Assist partners with business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations
- Ensure adherence to firm policies, procedures, and professional standards
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Master’s in Taxation or relevant advanced degree preferredActive CPA license required5 -7 years of progressive tax experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role in public accountingStrong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax lawsProficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CCH Axcess or similar platforms a plusExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsBenefits :
