Benign / Classical Hematology Faculty Opportunities – University of Florida Health

UF Health Department of Medicine , an NCI-Designated Cancer Center and nationally recognized academic institution, is seeking Board Certified / Board Eligible Hematologists to join our growing Division of Hematology & Oncology. We are currently recruiting for two faculty roles :

Clinical Benign Hematologist - Combination of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities

Hematology Hospitalist - Inpatient only (flexible scheduling available)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, academic tertiary care environment serving patients with a wide range of hematologic conditions while teaching and mentoring the next generation of clinicians.

Position Highlights

• Practice Setting : Academic, primarily clinical faculty role
• Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM (8 clinic half-days + 30 inpatient days per year)
• Patient Volume : ~14-16 patients per day in clinic; 10-15 inpatient consults per day
• Weekday / Weekend Call : 6 weekends per year and 6 weeks per year; Fellows handle first call
• Team : 29 faculty physicians (6 hematology only) and 13 APPs (4 heme only)
• EMR : Epic (inpatient and outpatient)
• Procedures : Bone marrow biopsy
• Hospital : UF Health Shands Hospital - 1,149 licensed beds, 1,500+ medical staff physicians
