Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist passionate about Adult Respiratory Care. As part of the Adult Respiratory Service line at Prisma Health, you'll work in esteemed facilities including :

  • Baptist Easley Hospital
  • Greenville Memorial Hospital
  • Greer Memorial Hospital
  • Hillcrest Hospital
  • Laurens County Hospital
  • Marshall I. Pickens Hospital
  • North Greenville Hospital
  • Oconee Memorial Hospital
  • Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital

We offer competitive sign-on bonuses of $7,500 for experienced Direct Care Respiratory Therapists and $5,000 for those with less than one year of experience. Additionally, enjoy a tax-free loan repayment benefit of $1,800 per year. Relocating? Ask about our relocation assistance program!

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform respiratory therapy procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental policies. - 20%
  • Obtain and analyze blood gas samples accurately. - 10%
  • Initiate and manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation. - 20%
  • Manage airways and associated equipment effectively. - 10%
  • Document and charge all respiratory care procedures accurately, providing education to patients and families. - 10%
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, providing complete and accurate reports. - 10%
  • Adhere to infection control practices, cleaning and disinfecting equipment appropriately. - 10%
  • Utilize resources responsibly, ensuring efficient use of supplies and time.

    • Supervisory / Management Responsibility

    This is a non-management position, reporting to a supervisor or manager.

    Minimum Requirements

    Graduates of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, eligible for licensure in South Carolina, or senior students anticipating graduation within the next three months.

    Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses

    Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina. BLS required. Maintain NBRC credentials. Those hired after June 2016 must pass the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam and Clinical Simulation Exam within specified timeframes.

    NRP and PALS are required in the Children's Hospital prior to working independently in the NICU and PICU.

    Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
