Full time 72 hours per pay

The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates as a member of the nursing team to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care. The LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The LPN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly / indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients / families / significant others. The Licensed Practical Nurse float rotates to designated units to subsidize staffing shortages as needed

Education

Minimum Level of Education Required : Diploma Program

Additional requirements :

Area of study or major : Practical nursing

Licensure / Certification / Registration

Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

Certified to administer medications

IV Certification required

Experience

Minimum Level of Experience Required : 1 year experience

Preferred experience : Hospital

Knowledge / Skills

Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor

Basic computer knowledge

Strong organization skills

Effective interpersonal and communication skills
