APPRENTICE 3RD YEAR

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

Under close and / or directive supervision and following prescribed routine and instructions as to methods and working details of average difficulty and importance must know understand and be willing and able to apply all applicable Company construction specifications to perform the less complicated tasks on high and low voltage line work involved in the construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution conductors structures and equipment with some latitude for planning or laying out of working details must be willing and able to perform tasks of average difficulty involved in the installation and removal of electric meters services and related equipment on customers premises connect and disconnect service at the pole locate and repair all types of breaks in the electric transmission and distribution system answer electric trouble calls to customers premises and be qualified to do the following and related work as assigned :

APPRENTICE 4TH YEAR

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

Under directive supervision with limited latitude for planning or laying out of working details must know understand and be willing and able to apply all

applicable Company construction specifications in order to perform high and low voltage line work involved in the construction and maintenance of

electric transmission underground and distribution dead or energized conductors structures and equipment and be qualified to do the following and

related work as assigned :

1. Use hot line tools.

2. Work on all types of conductors.

3. Install all types of transformer installations make tap changes and install primary metering equipment.

4. Locate trouble and restore service on all classes of lines substations sectionalizing equipment etc.

5. Make underground and submarine cable installations including the making of joints and installation of potheads.

6. Install pole type regulators and transformers to boost or buck line voltage.

7. Phase and check rotation in circuits direct and with potential transformers.

8. Make field tests of distribution transformers.

9. Check for ground faults on circuits or equipment.

10. Erect and maintain steel towers and substations.

11. Direct work of assistants instruct and train other employees.

JOURNEYMAN LINEMAN

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

Under directive supervision with some latitude for planning or lying out of working details must know understand and be willing and able to apply all

applicable Company construction specification in order to complete the most complicated construction and maintenance work on dead or energized

transmission and underground or overhead distribution conductors structures and equipment and be qualified to do the following and related work as

assigned :

1. Make all types of transformer installations; do phasing and check rotation on circuits; trace and clear grounds and opens on series circuits.

2. Do all classes of hot line tool work.

3. Reeve blocks.

4. Plan and lay out all work in a safe and efficient manner.

5. Check handle and be responsible for all material removed from and returned to stock and prepare reports and records.

6. Act in leadership capacity as required.

7. Direct work of assistants instruct and train new employees.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS :

Journeyman Lineman - 5 years of demonstrated linework experience required

Apprentice 4th Year - 4years demonstrated linework experience required

Apprentice 3rd Year - 3 years demonstrated linework experience required

As a condition of employment this position requires a pre-employment Fitness for Duty exam.

This position is designated as a Safety Sensitive position and is subject to mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing
