Job Description :

The Ideal CNC Programmer will be part of a team of quality professionals in fast-paced company specializing in short run space and defense components.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Interpret customer drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerance, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in working with MasterCam required, knowledge of Solidworks software a plus
  • Ability to write and edit three, four, and five-axis programs for CNC 5 axis machines
  • Experience with Matsuura and Fanuc controls is preferred
  • Work closely with quoting department on new projects
  • Designs fixturing, including modeling and making drawings of necessary components
  • Assist machine operators, quality lead, and management in the troubleshooting of machining issues and offer advice on best machining practices
  • Operate within AS9100 / ISO9001 requirements to include proper documentation, revision control, traceability and lot control
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Skills Requirements :

  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Able to handle and follow instruction.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years' experience as a Programmer required
  • 5 years' experience as a Machinist required
