Position Description:

As a Server at Perkins, you’ll be the face of the restaurant, creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for each guest. You’ll provide friendly, efficient service while ensuring that all guests’ needs are met and their expectations exceeded.

What You’ll Do:

• Greet & Engage Guests: From the moment they walk in, you'll create a warm, inviting environment. Greet guests with a smile and make them feel at home!
• Take Orders & Serve Food: Take accurate meal and drink orders, ensuring that each guest gets exactly what they want. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, delicious food and drinks in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Go above and beyond to ensure guests have an exceptional experience. Anticipate needs, solve problems, and address concerns with a positive attitude.
• Work as a Team: Coordinate with your fellow servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service. Teamwork is key to delivering excellent guest experiences.
• Handle Payments: Be responsible for accurately processing payments, including cash, credit cards, and gift cards, in a safe and professional manner.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Keep your work area tidy and stocked, and take care of side work such as rolling silverware and restocking condiments.
• Suggestive Selling: Use your knowledge of the menu to recommend popular items and enhance the guest experience with great suggestions.

Physical Requirements / Environment:

• Mobility: This job requires a high level of mobility and flexibility, with frequent movement around the dining area and kitchen.
• Standing & Walking: You’ll be on your feet for most of your shift, walking and serving guests.
• Irregular Hours: Since restaurants are busiest during peak times, you may need to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
