Job Description

Visa’s Card Platforms organization works cross-functionally with Visa’s global and regional teams to create flexible, cutting-edge card platforms that significantly enhance and expand Visa’s impact in both consumer and business-to-business card payments. Within Card Platforms organization, the Visa Program Enablement team plays a critical role in building and enhancing products and platforms in card program management space, with a focus on enhancing the client experience and enabling the enablers to build innovative products leveraging these platforms.​ As a key member of this team, you will develop, enhance and maintain products, platforms, and APIs used by large financial institutions, emerging fintech players and challenger banks around the world.

On a day-to-day basis, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to detail requirements, build business cases, write user stories and prioritize features on product roadmap. You will be responsible for acceptance of product enhancements through demos and user acceptance testing. You will also be responsible for stakeholder management, user training, writing implementation guides and supporting client implementations.

The role requires the candidate to be comfortable with supporting the product user community, triaging, and owning any product related operational issues, and having an aptitude and desire to be very hands on with presentations, data and reporting, modern webservice development and UI / UX design. You should be able to work with cross functional teams spanned across multiple geographies and time zones. You have a “product ownership” attitude and are ready to do whatever it takes to integrate teams together for product launch and support.

As a Product Manager at Visa, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of card payments, driving innovation, and delivering exceptional value to our clients and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product leaders to define payments and product platform strategy
  • Transform business requirements into detailed use cases and write requirements
  • Prioritize features in an agile way as market needs and resources evolve
  • Engage with cross functional product and engineering teams to determine the best solution and implementation timelines
  • Plan sprints and groom the user story backlog
  • Design user experiences and build mockups for product ideas
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing
  • Define KPIs, track, and measure success against KPIs and SLA
  • Build presentations for executives, internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop business cases and pricing models, support commercialization efforts
  • Work with operation and engineering teams to develop and roll out operational support models
  • Partner with business and technology teams globally to communicate and support sales enablement for new features, listen and gather feedback, and cultivate insights to inform product roadmaps

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Experience with Payment Network systems or general issuer card processing
  • Experience with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA
  • Knowledgeable about good software service development methodologies, developer engagement and modern, RESTful API architectures
  • Strong understanding of UI / UX design principles
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
  • Subject matter expertise on global fintech trends and players is an asset
  • Curious problem solver with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Able to translate client or user needs into technical requirements for developers
  • Able to consider how technical issues or tradeoffs might affect business or customers
  • Empathetic, kind, and mindful of not just your perspective but also what matters to customers, stakeholders and partner teams
  • Passionate about getting things done and shipping product
  • Able to take an analytical and data-driven approach towards product prioritization and delivery
  • Well versed in distributed systems design, developer experience, API usability, and performance concerns
  • Technical Degree in CS / Engineering or demonstrated equivalent technical expertise through past experience
  • Familiar with the level of security, privacy, compliance and associated risk-management considerations required to build highly trustworthy and reliable internet-based financial applications
  • Excited to work on APIs and services that could enable more convenient and reliable payment services for hundreds of millions of people around the world
  • Effective and empathic communicator in any context from executive boardroom to technical environments
  • Team oriented, collaborative, and flexible enough to jump into whatever needs to get done to ship product and deliver great outcomes for customers

    Work Authorization : Permanent Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this position. Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.

    Work Hours : Varies upon the needs of the department.

    Travel Requirements : This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    Mental / Physical Requirements : This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

    U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY : The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 138,500.00 to 200,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA / HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
