Locum Cardiologist - Wausau, Wisconsin

Inpatient Setting 7 On / 7 Off Schedule IMLC Welcome

Opportunity Snapshot : A leading hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin, is seeking a Board Certified Cardiologist for inpatient locum coverage. This position features a 7-on / 7-off schedule, with manageable call responsibilities, and is open to candidates holding or eligible through the IMLC.

Key Details :

  • Coverage Dates : ASAP - June 30, 2026
  • Schedule : 7 on / 7 off 11-hour days with 2 nights of call per week
  • Setting : Inpatient - Hospital-based
  • Call : STEMI and emergent TVP coverage only
  • Call Ratio : 2 of 7 nights
  • Call Response Time : Immediate or within 10 minutes
  • Patient Volume : 25-30 patients per shift
  • Admissions : 2 per day
  • Call Back Percentage : 5-10%
  • Hospital Size : 220 beds
  • Trauma Level : II
  • EMR : Epic

Requirements :

  • Board Certified in Cardiology - Required
  • Active Wisconsin Medical License or IMLC - Accepted
  • ACLS Certification - Required
