Job Description
The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for the administration of material logistics in the central warehouse. This includes ensuring timely turnaround on material requests, inventory control, and administration of periodic cycle counts in inventory locations.
Physical Requirements :
Continual lifting, lowering, and carrying packages weighing 25–35 lbs. , and occasionally up to 70 lbs.Key Responsibilities
Physically locate inventory itemsProcess standard and freight shipments through shipping vendor’s online portalMaintain shipping log details for each transactionStage, reserve, and allocate inventory items per system requestsPerform periodic cycle counts and physical inventory (PI)Operate construction tools and equipment (e.g., concrete saws, core drills, vacuums, skid steers, forklifts, etc.)Conduct work safely and perform daily site and equipment safety checksFamiliarity with Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) fiber installation standards and practicesWorking knowledge of ROW construction standards (aerial and underground)Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standardsKnowledge of wireless / telecommunications technologies and platformsEducation
High School diploma or GEDMilitary or technical school training in telecommunications, electronics, and AC / DC power systems preferredExperience
3–5 years in warehouse or construction (OSP preferred)Experience with inventory in Telecommunications / ISP / Fiber Optic spaceStrong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data entryUnderstanding of UPS / FedEx shipping software
